Mechanical Temperature Switch NC20 | Bimetal Thermostat
Brand:NOIKE-AH
Model:NC20
Specification
Product Overview
The Mechanical Temperature Switch NC20 Series operates using the bimetallic strip principle to provide reliable temperature monitoring and switch control. When the measured temperature reaches the preset switching point, the circular bimetallic strip expands due to heating, activating the internal mechanical mechanism and generating a switching signal.
All wetted parts are manufactured from brass, making the NC20 suitable for various industrial temperature control applications. The switch is available with G1/4, G1/2, and M20×1.5 process connections for flexible installation.
Why Choose the Mechanical Temperature Switch NC20 Series ?
The NC20 Series provides a simple and dependable solution for fixed-point temperature control in industrial systems.
Its key advantages include:
- Mechanical temperature switching without electronic circuitry
- Bimetal sensing principle for reliable operation
- Fixed switching points from 30°C to 120°C
- Brass wetted parts for industrial applications
- Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) contact options
- Silver-plated contacts for reliable switching performance
- Compact structure with easy installation
- Multiple process thread options
- IP65 protection for industrial environments
Working Principle
The NC20 Series uses a bimetallic strip sensing element.
As temperature increases, the circular bimetallic strip expands. Once the preset switching temperature is reached, the expansion activates the built-in mechanical switching mechanism, causing the electrical contacts to change state.
When the temperature returns below the switching point, the mechanism resets according to its designed operating characteristics.

Test Method
The NC20 Series is tested using high-temperature heat transfer oil.
The hexagonal sensing section of the temperature switch is immersed into the test medium while the rated operating voltage is applied. The sensing end remains immersed in the flowing heat transfer oil for at least 3 minutes to verify switching performance.
Typical Application Example
In hydraulic lubrication systems, maintaining oil temperature within the specified operating range helps ensure stable equipment performance. The NC20 Series Mechanical Temperature Switch can be installed directly in the lubrication circuit to monitor oil temperature. When the preset temperature is reached, the switch outputs a control signal that can be used for equipment protection, alarm indication, or automatic temperature control.
