How the NT52D Pressure Transmitter Works

The NT52D operates using a capacitive pressure sensing principle.

Process pressure is transferred through the flange-mounted isolation diaphragm and filling fluid to the internal sensing diaphragm. As pressure changes, the sensing diaphragm moves slightly, altering the capacitance between two precision capacitor plates.

The transmitter electronics convert these capacitance changes into accurate output signals:

  • 4–20 mA analog output
  • HART digital communication

The sensing diaphragm displacement is less than 0.1 mm, ensuring excellent sensitivity, repeatability, and long-term measurement stability.
